GREAT EXPERIENCE FOR ANY COUPLE!

For a chance to experience horseback riding together with someone special, consider a Couples Ride. Great opportunity to do something fun and have a new experience with a spouse, special date, parent/child, or siblings, etc.!

Similar to an hour private lesson – but for two! You will have two horses (ride together at same time) and an instructor for an hour. There will be a brief introductory time where you will assist the trainer in grooming/tacking your mount – a great time to get to know your horse, ask questions, review safety procedures. Your riding experience is geared to your riding experience level and will start in an arena – the instructor will teach/review basics of riding position and control and let you practice in the arena; at the discretion of the instructor, the ride may end with an opportunity to explore various parts of the 30 beautiful acres at Shady Creek on horseback. Bring your camera to commemorate your time together and we’ll be glad to help take some pics!

If you are planning to come for a special occasion (anniversary, birthday, etc.) please let us know in advance of your ride!

Scheduling your ride:

Please use the online scheduling program and select Couples Ride. So that we can be best prepared for your ride, please provide information about who is coming to ride and brief explanation of any riding experience you may have. Please note that for the well-being of our horses, some weight limits will apply – please inquire if you have questions.

Before your ride:

Please download and bring a signed Riding-Instruction-Agreement-and-Liability-Release form to your ride or you will need to complete one upon arrival.

Plan to wear long pants, boots or hard-soled, heeled shoes (sneakers can be ok; slip on shoes like sandals or crocs, etc. not permitted), and you may wish to bring a drink. Riders will be provided a helmet for their ride.

Restroom is available on-site.

The Couples Ride is reserved for two related parties from same family or single payment source, including spouses, dates, parent/child, siblings — friends who want to ride together will need to use the semi-private lesson option.

Note: accepted payment methods are cash, check, Venmo (@George-Geerdes) or PayPal below. PayPal service fee of 3.5% will be added to total in your cart.
